What is APEDA?
APEDA was set up by the Government of India under the APEDA Act, 1985. It promotes and regulates exports of scheduled food products from India.
Any exporter dealing in scheduled agro-based or processed food products must obtain APEDA RCMC (Registration-Cum-Membership Certificate) before starting exports.

- Import Export Code (IEC)
- Last 2 months’ Bank Statement
- GST Registration
- Bank Certificate or Cancelled Cheque
- Signed APEDA Registration Form
For Manufacturer Exporters
- FSSAI Central License
- DIS/SIA Certificate (if applicable)
- Certificate of Incorporation / Partnership Deed
- Pollution NOC
- MSME Udyam Certificate (if applicable)
- Halal Certificate (if required)

Who Needs to Register?
You’re required to register under APEDA if:
- You’re exporting any product listed under the First or Second Schedule of the APEDA Act.
- Your business has been incorporated and intends to export within 30 days of formation.
Exporters, manufacturers, food processors, and aggregators all qualify for registration
Registration Timeline & Validity
- Apply within 30 days from the start of your business.
- Once granted, the RCMC Certificate is valid for 5 years.
- Post 5 years, the license is auto-renewed upon payment of the renewal fee. No new documents are needed.

Provide IEC, email, and mobile number → Verify via OTP

Submit the online fee → An application number will be generated

Fill the form completely and upload the required documents

Certificate is issued within 10–15 working days
